CU163-300 Medical Interpreter Program:  Open to all languages, this 60-hour program provides working knowledge of medical interpreting, including standards of practice, ethics, HIPAA regulations, cultural competency, and medical terminology/vocabulary. Offered in collaboration with TransFluenci EDU, this course is designed for those preparing for entry-level careers as medical interpreters as well as for working interpreters preparing for the National Board Certificate exam.  Students must be fully bilingual and must be fluent in English and one other language. This program meets the National Board for Medical Interpreter Certification training requirement and prepares you to pass the national certification exam. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion from the college and may elect to apply for national certification. Certification fees are not included. Students must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Because a language assessment is required, students must register at least two weeks in advance. 

AU400-300 Automotive Damage Appraisal Course:  Part I - Claims professionals, auto body technicians and others are trained for the Massachusetts Automobile Damage Appraisers License Examination. The course includes in- depth discussion of insurance regulations, policy arbitration, and work completion forms, use of Flat Rate Manuals, collision diagnosis, cost estimation and preparation of written estimates. Instructor is ICAR Platinum certified and has more than 30 years’ experience in the automotive industry, including 16 years of management and appraisal experience.

AU403-300 Certified Damage Appraisal Apprenticeship:  This is a six-week course that prepares students for Part II of the MA Automobile Damage Appraisers License Exam and fulfills the Massachusetts three-month apprenticeship requirement. The course will focus heavily on the preparation of an estimate and skills to interact with clients. Instructor is ICAR Platinum certified and has more than 30 years’ experience in the automotive industry, including 16 years of management and appraisal experience.
